I became interested in electric scooters after witnessing rental scooters for the first time in Old Town Sacramento. i did not rent one but they looked like a lot of fun so I wanted one. I did not want to spend a lot of money so after doing a lot of research I decided on the Megawheels S10 . I've had it for a couple of days now and I think this a great scooter for the money. It has a nice wide wooden deck with a lot of room to move your feet around. It has 3 speed modes and accelerates good. The motor is in the rear wheel, most of the scooters in this class have the motor in the front wheel, I dont know if there are pros or cons are for having the motor in the back. Super quiet and the ride is pretty smooth due to the front air filled tire. Headlights are not very bright but definitely helps you to been seen while riding at night, there is no rear light only a reflector on the back fender. The electric brake works pretty good but won't exactly stop on a dime. There is another brake on the back tire that is activated by pushing down on the back fender with your foot, it works okay but takes a little time to get used to it. I would only use it in cases where you need to stop really quick because it will wear the tire if used often. A disk brake would be nice. The steering post locks nicely in place in the upright position but there is some flex, not sure is this is the norm because I have not ridden other scooters. The post locks nicely in place in the stowed position and is easy to carry and is just over 26 lbs. With the power on, two quick presses on the power button will turn on the headlight, three quick presses will change the speedometer from KPH to Mph, I dont think this was mentioned in the owners manual. I havent ridden it enough yet to figure out the range, claims to be 14 miles but I think 8-10 would be more realistic.Overall I really like this scooter, it appears to be well made and I love the way it looks. A disk brake and a back tail light would be nice but at this price I guess you cant have everything. For a few bucks you can buy a battery powered rear bike light to attach to the back.I'll update this review after I have more time on it and will let you know what kind of range I get on a single charge.

Had the scooter for a 4 months now, and it ran well until a few weeks back when it just blanked out. The scooter ran fine the first couple months. I’m 6’ and a 175, so for me it was fine on the flats and downhills, but pretty slow on the up hills. Still for the money, was a good deal, and when it worked, it did the job and was fun to ride. Last month while I was riding down a flat, it felt like the back break had just locked up. Luckily I managed to stay on, really could have wiped me out, but got it to a stop ok. I tried for a week to fix it, checked everything in the manual but no luck. Now it still ran, just felt like the electric break in back was locked up, so slow going. So I tried it a few more times, hoping it would unjam or unlock, but no luck. Then the last time I tried it, I got a few blocks down and it just died completely on me. Charged it and nothing. Doesn’t start at all anymore. Now, to make things worse, there isn’t even any contact for the seller available here or in the manual either. So I’m jut out a few hundred dollars, and have a dead scooter, that’s worthless and looks like I’m going to have to just throw it out. At first thought it was nice for the price, but in the end it was just a poorly made unit, not made to last. What’s worse is that there’s no one to even contact. Which makes me believe that they have enough these that just junk out, and rather keep customers money than work to gif or replace them. DON’T BUY THIS SCOOTER. The first 10 trips aren’t worth the money for it!

Stopped working after 1 use. Even after a full battery charge the accelerator will not function. If you're looking for something similar to a Lime or Bird scooter don't waste your time with this, it is MUCH slower!

This scooter is dope. I weigh 180lbs+ when carrying my backpack and a heavy jacket, and it picks up quick to 15mph. It has 3 speed modes and a front light which is nice. The ride is smooth and you have plenty of room to stand. I really like this scooter.
