Plugged it in and within 2 minutes the whole thing glowed. Smoke coming from the flex and then blew the electricity. Have been given a refund but very put off by this product. Had my husband not been in the room it could have been very different.

Dangerous do not buy. Like every one else said heated up till it was glowing red and smoking then blew the fuse on first use. DO NOT BUY. AMAZON PLEASE REMOVE THIS PRODUCT

After 30 seconds of plugging this device in, it smelled of burning, gave a small 'pop' and tripped my electricity. It's now broken and I won't be attempting to fix it.Based on similar reports from UK users, this product is potentially dangerous and should be removed from sale.

Could maybe consider it a soldering iron as the handle gets quite warm, but the blade doesn't heat up. Hardly a hot knife.

Started to get dangerously red hot up shaft..then fuse blew! Dare not try to use it again! Never mind! I needed a tool for acetate stencil cutting..this is probably best for wood cutters?

All was going well until suddenly it was no longer cutting and after multiple tries and retries realised it just wasn’t working anymore and got cooler and cooler. Will be getting a refund.
