I bought these lights because they were described as being waterproof. They're even shown being stuck in a glass of water in the description.Years ago I ran electric out about 200 ft from the house to service a greenhouse and a chicken coop. It's located on a post centered between the two. 4 plugs with GFCI. A couple years ago I decided to put lights on my gate, which is about 75 ft from the outlet. I ran an extension cord, which worked fine for quite some time. And then, I started having problems. Every time it rained, it would pop the GFCI. And when this happened I lost power to the chicken coop, which means that the security light, cameras, and the automatic door won't work. So I'd have to trudge out there usually in the middle of the night to reset it. Over time, trial and error, I learned that it was the gate lights that were causing it to pop. And it didn't seem to matter which type I used. Every time it rained, the same thing happened. I changed gfci's. I changed extension cords, and I changed lights. But I was never able to get rid of the problem. I pretty much gave up hope of having lights when it rained. I'm in central FL, so rain is a regular occurrence.When I saw these lights, I read the description several times and the reviews. I wanted something patriotic for my front gate and these lights seemed perfect. But, I didn't want to spend money on something that was just going to blow out when it rained. After several days of thought, I went ahead and purchased them. They arrived today, and I used one strand, and installed it on my gate. We were due for very heavy rain later in the day, and I wanted to see if the GFCI would pop or not.Later, during the torrential rainstorm, I checked to see if the cameras were still working. And to my amazement they were!! Which meant that the GFCI had not popped!! The lights were indeed waterproof, and did not cause any issues.I couldn't be any happier!! A fantastic product that is actually made to withstand rain!!!

Look very Red from a distance.. from the street. 😭 Pink 8ft and closer. They give off a lot of light 😃. I am now looking for pink lights to put up with these. In the house they are pink. I have mixed feeling about these lights.

I've searched long and hard for good Christmas lights, and I keep my Christmas lights very organized. These are the best I've found and I've bought them three times, all still working. I'll replace all of my lights with these.
