My 3 year old grandson is obsessed with big bad barry the fish aswell as fishing games, I've brought him a few recently but they were small and had tiny rods then I found this one and bought it as part of his birthday gifts, he was so excited as soon as he saw this game and it became his new favourite toy within seconds of opening it, it's so much better than the rest, instantly the big bright coloured fish grabbed his attention and then the large three rods grabbed the attention of the adults and that was that two adults and a child were happily playing for a hour, the fish are large enough not to be lost in the furniture and more importantly they are too large to swallow and the inflatable pond slips under the sofa easily, the nets are good quality and sturdy and the rods are extendable and have working reels that the children love, they are sturdy too the handles are a hollow hard plastic it doesn't look like a good deal of time was spent on the appearance but I can honestly say it is worth the money and will last a lifetime, both my daughters have now purchased the same set and all of the grandchildren love them

I'm never certain what will spark the imagination of my four toddler grandkids. Some things I'm sure they will love turn out to be duds. I purchased this simply because I had no pool toys and thought it would give them something to do while splashing around in the pool. HOWEVER, they have had more fun with it in the house. They play for hours (okay, like almost an hour, which is DAYS in toddler time), and the best part--cleanup! I usually take clean up into consideration when purchasing a toy. This has like a zillion parts to it, which is a cleanup nightmare. But, I found the magic. When they finished playing, I said, "Oh, no. Look at all those little fish all over the place. They have to be put back in the ocean so they can breathe." And, don't you know, they tots went into overdrive to grab all the pieces and put them inside the tiny floating pool.And, I guess that's another thing. I wasn't expecting the tiny floating pool. Somehow, I didn't even notice it when I ordered, so it was a pleasant surprise. Now, the pump broke before I even started inflating the pool, but that wasn't a big deal. Even for this old grandma, it was easy to blow up the pool. And, the pool is great as a float to use in the pool (for the toys, not the kids!), a dry "ocean" in the living room, or filled with water for a fun outdoor fishing experience.I've enjoyed this so much I've ordered another one since I have two more toddler grandsons arriving next week and I want to have a fishing rod for each tot. So, yes, the quality of this was better than expected and it's kept the kids busy for longer than expected. I'm thrilled!

Ours came with a broken fishing pole and there was no square "pond" in the box.I like the concept, but some of The magnets arent strong enough for some of the sea creatures.I am changing my review from 1 star to 5. Customer service reached out personally immediately and offered me a replacement or a refund. I chose the replacement. Despite the issues I 1. Think it's huge when businesses reach out personally wanting to fix the issue and 2. My boys love the toy, even with one of the fishing poles being broken lol my 2 year old concentrates so hard trying to collect the fish. Definitely worth it.
