the blade is very light, thin stamped steel, certainly too weak for any kind of garden work.the handle is rubber molded over the partial tangue of the blade, resolving in the outer inch or two being flimsy and therefore impossible to use as a handle in any way.you can't hold the shovel by the handle there... you have to choke up... and you can't push on the handle to insert the blade further into the ground or to use it as leverage, making it absolutely useless for the garden.in fairness, if the handle worth any quality, then the blade and tangue which is bend under light usage, as the metal is very weak and flimzy.it could possibly be useful as using as a poop scooper for cats or dogs, but I would prefer a broader blade for that.

I almost never write reviews, but I had to because I was so disappointed at how quickly this trowel snapped in half. I had ordered it to replace one that was about 15 years old that my husband had run over with the lawn mower. Even that one's in better shape than this new one after light usage. Buy something else.

Spring popped out and got lost in the bushes after less than an hour of use. Piece of junk.

Just started gardening this spring and am loving this new shovel! It is well made, sturdy and comfortable. It has a really nice handle grip that makes it easier to use. Yellow accents make it easy to spot in the garden. Perfect for potting and planting. I would recommend!

The trowel is nice to handle and does a great job of digging in the soil to plant flowers and veggies. Very sturdy tool.
