My grandkids (and parents) love these shovels. The plastic shovel and handle are very sturdy. Even with lots of heavy use, they don't break. The pole is solid wood, also doesn't break. Best is the length - just nice for a 3 year old but also easy for bigger kids and adults to use, and to convey the sand. Comes in a set of two which also is great, easy to fit in a bag to carry to the beach and to have two for those making sand castles to each have their own.

These sand shovels are the perfect length for my granddaughter (3 years old), and she loves playing with them.

We ordered these for a trip to the beach. When we got them, I didn't have high hopes but they preformed better than I anticipated. My husband and I used them to fill the sand bags on our beach canopy tent. The kiddos used then for digging holes and trenches and making sand castles. They were easy to pack in the car and light weight.

Works fine for playing in loose soil, sand, and gravel, but my 4yr old managed.to break one inside of a week.

They seem very sturdy and the kids loved them. However, not just for kids, papa can use them too. Yes 11, papa can use them to bury his Neso sand bags. I actually think we ended up leaving these at the beach house, but they worked for both the beach shelter and the digging up of booty.

Perfect for my 4 year old son. However, a larger one would have also been good. These are good for little ones (toddlers/preschoolers). I probably overpaid for these, but they are tough to find in stores off season.

Took these on their first beach trip and one broke while my son was simply digging in sand.
