100% worth it
Very comfortable, sized well (bought mediums, I usually wear a size 9). I wore these socks for 8 days in a row on an international trip before washing them, and I only washed them then because the way my trip was planned, I wouldn’t be in the same place long enough to wash/dry them without needing to put them in my bag. They really didn’t smell too badly at all when I did wash them. Wash them in cold water in the sink in the evening with some wool-safe detergent, let ‘em soak for 15 minutes, rinse, squeeze em out, roll them in a towel overnight and air dry the next morning and they’ll be ready to go by lunch.

Made to last
Ive had 10 different pairs of of these socks that I alternate for the past 5 years and when i say they are amazing they are. I work in the construction field as a mechanic and they do a amazing job holding up and keeping my feet cool and dry.

Of all the Darn Tough sock types, and I own a lot,, these are my favorite!
Which Darn Tough socks should you buy?I must own close to 20 pairs of Darn Toughs by now (ridiculous, I know). There is a ridiculous amount of choices, and DT has their own sock lingo. Anyway, this is what I decided, in the world of Darn Tough socks1) My favorite weight is called “light cushion”, which is a light sock with some extra cushion on the bottom, enough to be comfortable and durable without ever weighing me down;2) My favorite height is called “micro crew”, to me the most versatile and comfortable; and3) They come in different Blends of wool and plastic, and I really do notice and prefer the blends with more wool than plastic,as much wool as possible. In the dozens or hundreds of DT sock models, these are about the only ones that meet all three criteria. They are so comfortable, warm enough for most winter days and cool enough for most summer days.My friend and I just did a 14 mile hike in 104 degree heat; half way through she started getting blisters, which got worse and worse. At the end of the hike she asked if I had any blisters. I realized I hadn’t thought about my feet once all day! Best socks ever.

Well made.
Expensive, but worth the price especially if you can find them on sale.

Best socks on the planet!
After coming back from a hiking trip as a newbie with several blisters on my feet many years ago I went through several different brands of hiking socks, and 12 years later Darn Toughs are the clear winner. I now only wear darn tough for pretty much all the time even for everyday walking around use. The light cushion micro crew is my everyday sock and for hiking I use the heavier ones. They are expensive but worth every penny. Cut your budget elsewhere, your feet carries 100+ lbs and (for me a lot more) every second you walk. Give it the best protection you can.

My favorite socks so far
Not sure how this company figured out how to make socks better than everywhere else, but so far the extra price seems well worth it to me. Very comfortable. I might update later after more time has passed.

A Good Light Hiking Sock
A good lightweight hiking sock. Wore over some harsh terrain in UK, Norway, and the Faroe Islands. Very good construction and durability over many hikes and washes. These, by design, do not have a lot of cushioning. They probably aren't the best for heavy hiking, or for those who prefer a thicker sock, but they did well in a light multi-day summer backcountry hike scenario. A cheaper sock can do nicely as well, but I think these will prove a good investment given their durability.

Darn tough is by far the best sock I've used.
Really enjoy Darn Tough socks for doing ultramarathons. I will not buy any other socks, I've been doing ultramarathons for two years and since I've been using there product not one blister.

Over rated.
Decent sock to be sure. But it is very expensive and there are other factors to consider over length of use. Comfort, breathability and the sock looking like it did when you bought it. I'd rather pay less and replace more often. That's just my two cents.
