Vintage Gourmet ® Tetsubin Japanese Style Cast Iron Black Hobnail Teapot Set, Kettle 0.6L, Trivet, Cup & Saucer X 2

Utterly delighted with this set. The teapot is beautifully made and pours well. The value for money is excellent, compared with similar products elsewhere. I was originally only looking for the teapot but I'm glad I got the trivet and cups as well. The teapot holds about 7 cupfuls, which is about as much tea as I can drink in one sitting. I especially like the mesh tea holder inside the teapot, which is easy to clean and big enough to allow tealeaves plenty of free movement. The mesh sits quite low in the teapot, too, so that even if you don't fill the pot the tea still infuses nicely. The instructions say you need to clean and dry the teapot after each use, which I have been doing, but I just give it a swirl with hot water and leave it to dry on a kitchen radiator, which works very well. If you haven't used one of these cast iron teapots before, you might be taken aback by the weight of it (and, indeed the cups, etc.) but I like the solidity of it. It feels as if it will last way beyond my lifetime.

I've only had the product a few days so I can't comment on how long it will last but so far I'm very impressed. It's exactly what I wanted, a cute design and I'm very happy with how it pouts, the weight of it and the quality feel.

It’s a shame that the knob on the lid is made of plastic, it slightly ruins the overall effect and makes it look much cheaper than it is.

Bought as a gift for someone. Even if they don't use it as a tea set, it is so dinky and cute it will easily look stunning on their kitchen counter or in a display cabinet.

This is a lovely teapot, easy to imagine one is at a tea house somewhere in old Beijing or Kyoto .The teapot and accessories are just as described in this page and it brews perfect tea. The handle doesn't get hot but the little cups do - the coaster under the cup acts as a handle.

Really pleased with the set it's a gift and a lovely product. The Item was missing the Trivet when delivered however after contacting the seller they sent the missing item very quickly. It is a very sturdy well made product and looks lovely. Highly Recommend this item.
