The search is finally over. The perfect PC controller!
I've been looking for an ergonomically comfortable PC controller for years. Only the Sony DualShock 4 was comfortable enough to be my daily driver, but wasn't good for most PC games without DS4Windows.This controller supports Xinput (Xbox controller) natively right out of the box, so everything else just works! The grip is perfect, feels just like the DS4, the controller is hefty without freaking too heavy or low quality, the dpad is mechanical and feels AMAZING, as do the R/L buttons and programmable face buttons. Latency feels great when connected via the USB Dongle, she even better with a direct wired connection. The only caveat is that you MUST update the firmware on BOTH the controller (via a wired USB cable) AND the dongle using their software. And on top of that, you'll likely have to recalibrate the controller as well, which you can do without the software.Do a Google Search for "GameSir Connect" software, and choose to download it manually from their site. Do NOT use the Microsoft Store version; it will not work. The version you download should be (at the time of writing 1.4.1).Once you have the software, install it and connect your controller via USB. You should be able to go into the software and choose firmware update to get it to the most recent version. BUT YOU'RE NOT DONE YET! You need to update the dongle as well, or some of your buttons or analog sticks don't work when you try wirelessly. With the GameSir Connect app still open, plug in the USB dongle, then HOLD the button on the dongle itself; you should see messages appear about updating its firmware as well. For the most part, you should now be good to go.In some instances, you'll need to recalibrate the sticks too, if they're too sensitive or otherwise wacky. All you have to do is hold the Select/Windows button (middle left), the Start/Menu button (middle right), and Xbox/GameSir button (logo button between the sticks) to enter calibration mode. From there, once it starts blinking, hit RT fully 3 times, LT fully 3 times, then rotate each analog stick fully clockwise 3 times and counter-clockwise 3x, then press the A button (bottom face bottom) to complete the recalibration.

Worth the money
The controller is lowkey perfect. There is no playstation style controller with back buttons and this many features out on the market right now that costs less than 200$. I have used it for over 6 months and i cant use any other controller now. If you are worried about if you will like the controller, I can tell you after using it heavily for a while now i have only faced 1 issue. And that is that i had a little plastic piece in the controller break and it made one of my back buttons unusable. But this was quickly fixed after emailing support and got a replacment sent out within 24 hours. Other than that the build quality is nice and it is 1000hz polling rate and the software is easy to use and perfectly customizable. I only have used it wired so i cant talk on the bluetooth. I would heavily recommend buying this if you are debating it. 3+ years buying gamesir controllers and will continue to do so.

This brand might not be as great as i thought they were going to be
controller was fine until the left back button decided it had enough. I was gonna give it a 2 star but i got another controller brand new and the left back button on that one out the box was just straight up loose and janky. IDK what gamesir has going on but they really need to just zone in and focus on one or two controllers. When you go to their website they have too many controllers in the lineup. I have the G7se and that controller is fine, they should focus on and fine tune that. I got the Super Nova and that controller was fine until the one of the triggers gave out. So now im left feeling really unsure about this brand. I know if they zone in the can make a great product but theyre spreading their resources between too many types of controllers. if they're not careful another company will make a better product at the same price point and snag all the glory.

The only Tarantula Pro review you need!
This controller is great, but it has drawbacks. In the photo, I am comparing the controller to the PS4 controller I was previously using. Here is a list of the pros and cons I have came up with. I bought this controller to play Rocket League.PROS:- Very precise and snappy- Appears to have good build quality- Excellent latency when in wired mode- Triggers and sticks feel nice- The ABXY switching feature is well done, although it is quite niche and I will personally not use it very often in all likelihood- The controller is slightly larger than a PS4 controller, but the change is manageable. The grips of the controller feel great and can easily be held for long gaming sessions.- The software is great and relatively hassle freeCONS- Mediocre latency on dongle mode and terrible latency on Bluetooth mode- My user manual came in Chinese for some reason (but English versions are available online)- The controller is apparently EOL (End of Life) according to a Gamesir community manager due to the aforementioned latency issues in wireless modes. They will no longer create future improved variants (though the community manager said that a Tarantula Pro Xbox controller is in the works and will be released in Q4 of this year)THINGS TO NOTE- Download the Gamesir Connect software from the Microsoft Store- Read the online manual for the controller if yours comes in a language you don’t recognize- The controller has 1000hz polling rate by defaultOverall, this controller is great for competitive games if you don’t mind running it wired. If you want to use it in wireless mode, I recommend only playing casual games like RPGs and the like. People who say the latency issues are unbearable even while wired are likely on an old firmware, which can be easily fixed with the Gamesir Connect app.
