Great Idea!
I love this concept! I use a rechargeable lamp on my deck table at my off-grid cabin. But it is getting to be summer and the mosquitos are getting active. I have a few USB mosquito repeller and they work pretty good. But once you plug them in, they stay on constantly. The chemical pad that you insert only last for 4 hours or so, and it doesn't fit into the recessed USB power bank built into the lamp. So I was looking for a short USB extension when I found this. I used some double sided tape to attach the repeller to the top of the lamp and I can just use the switch in the extension to turn it off or on without unplugging anything. It works great! I will be using the second one for a USB fan that I have in the cabin near my bed.

Power Switch ONLY, NO data lines
Reading the comments before buying this I realized that a lot of reviewers didn't understand what this was or how it worked. I hope to explain what this does and doesn't do so you can buy the right thing for you. A USB connector has 4 contacts, which are connected to 4 wires. 2 of those wires provide power to the device. And 2 of those wires transmit data. You can actually buy special adapters which do not have data lines to protect your phone when charging from a public (untrusted) power source. Hackers can use those to attack your phone. This switch does NOT have data lines. You cannot use it to transfer any information. This is ONLY useful for transmitting power. The switch turns the power on and off by disconnecting one of the power lines. I am using it with a USB powered LED strip and it works great for that. But if you were trying to use it with a Webcam, for example it will not work. It doesn't have any data lines to transmit information. Power ONLY. It works great for my application and I like that I can use it to protect my phone from untrusted power sources as well.

Power only. POWER ONLY. Not data...
These rocker-switches are perfect for USB-powered things that you want to have an on/off switch for. They are decidedly IMPERFECT for things with a data connection. I tried them with a keyboard, and either the keyboard or the PC did NOT like having the connection toggled. After flipping the switch off and on the keyboard wouldn't work until I plugged it into a different port AND rebooted the PC.After that minor fiasco I decided not to try using these with webcams or hard drives. But they work brilliantly for cooling fans and lamps.

Helpful intermediate USB power toggle
In case anyone is confused what this is for, I figured I would go ahead and leave a review. If you have a USB powered device that is always on when plugged in, you can use this to add a manual on/off switch for the power. Plug this in between the power source (whether that be an outlet or another USB cable), and the device itself, and then you can flip the switch one way to interrupt the power going to the device (turning it off), or flip the switch the other way and allow the power to go to the device (turning it on). This can be handy if your device doesn't have a power switch, or if you otherwise need to control power to the device more manually. In my case, I have a USB powered lamp that has an on/off switch that is difficult for me to reach in normal usage. So now I have the lamp attached to a USB extension cable, with this cable in between the extension cable and the lamp itself. Leaving the lamp's switch in the "on" position, I can now turn it on and off via the switch on this cable instead, which is right at my fingertips. So if you're looking to do something like that, this cable is perfect! As for a review of the specific product itself, there's not too much to say - it does exactly as it says. The plugs are good quality, not too tight or too loose, and the switch itself is sturdy, but easy to press, so no headaches there. It just works. And, as of this writing, you get 2 for $6, which is pretty cool.If I had to say a negative, it would be that the cable is short, but it's meant to be an intermediate cable, so that's to be expected. If you need something longer, I would pair this with a cheap USB extension cable. Also, an important thing to note about this cable - it is strictly for POWER. Data does not transfer through it - only power. So please be aware of that when purchasing - if you need data, this isn't what you need.

Perfect for lights without switches
These work great. I used them for some lights that didn't have any on/off switch so I don't have to keep unplugging them. It's going to be so much easier to turn on and off and I won't have to worry about damaging the fine wires to the light strings.

Used for always-on Bluetooth car adapter
I installed a USB-powered audio Bluetooth adapter in my vehicle. I ran into an issue where the BT receiver powers on as soon as the car door opens, and my phone immediately connects and starts playing (before I'm seated and car audio is actually on).I wasn't able to use online workarounds for getting that behavior to stop on my phone, so bought this switch to use as on/off power switch for the receiver. Works great, the only change I'd make in the design is making the On/Off position of the switch more visible (or visible at all), but I fixed that with a sticker.

Producto aceptable
Al producto esta buen unpoco tosco el switch de encedido y pagado, otra cosa solo soporta hasta 2Amp y creo que no me servira para una Raspberry Pi4, pero funcionan para una raspberry Pi3.

Great for magic jack and powering from router
So as most of us know a MagicJack if you plug it into a PC becomes a USB device but if you only give it power and ethernet then it becomes a functional computer on its own. So when you plug it into a router that supports printers or external hard drives it becomes an external USB key like you would use on your PC so instead of cutting the data wires on the extension lead that comes with it I just picked one of these up to provide it power and if I need to just flick it off and back on to reboot it. Just enough power to run my old phone and everything seems to be functioning correctly. We'll see on its longevity

Power switch only... does not work for keyboard!
This cannot be used to turn a keyboard on/off (to prevent our cat from typing). It's my own fault for not reading the description in detail but be advised it will only work for turning USB power on/off.
