Needs a protected location
We attached the Boot Scrubber to a deck on the west side of our second home in Maine less than a year ago. I rarely used it because it was pretty difficult to drag my boots through the brushes. It’s a tight fit for even a women’s work boot. In any case, I did try to use it recently and the brushes fell apart. I’m guessing either the afternoon sun or the winter snow or some combination of the two was just too much for it. Might do better in a protected location. Just didn’t work for us.

The BEST!
This is my second one. I bought a JobSite boot scrubber and another wooden one about five years ago - one for the back door and the other for outside the chicken yard. The wooden one lasted a couple of years and fell apart. It limped along for a year as I didn't ask much of it and used the JobSite Boot Scrubber almost exclusively. Yesterday I decided to just bite the bullet and get another JobSite....It arrived today! Wow! How fast is that!!?!!? I mount mine on a 18" x 18" piece of 3/4" plywood so I can stand on one part and scrub the other boot/shoe and then switch. You need to be able to hold the boot scrubber and the weight of one foot on the plywood holds the scrubber in place. The plywood has a hole saber-sawed in it so when I wash out the scrubber the old chicken poop has a place to go when it gets rinsed out. After I rinse off the boot scrubber I put the plywood up on edge to drain and dry out. Very easy. Try to avoid mounting the boot scrubber to the floor. You need to be able to move it around and to clean it, otherwise it's just going to be a big mess. The JobSite boot scrubber is very well made and the bristles in the hard plastic really take a beating - the wood boot scrubbers just don't hold up for very long. Good Luck and enjoy!

sturdy made, but a narrow foot bed and very weak screws
Pros: a sturdy frame with very stiff bristles, held in place by hard plastic. I bought this to replace another boot scrubber that had the bristles in wood that eventually rotted.Cons: the opening is very narrow. My boot presses the side bristles down instead of remaining horizontal and cleaning the side of boots. The screws provided are weak A.F. All four stripped before I was able to screw them fully into my deck. And, yes, I drilled pilot holes in my deck, so I wasn't over-torquing the screws.

Scrubber works well
I bought this scrubber to replace a former product that had broken in several places and stopped working well. This one is very impressive. The brushes work well, and the metal frame gives confidence it will last. I just mention that it comes with screws to mount it to a floor or something similar. It really cannot be used unless it is mounted because there is no way to hold it in place with the force of the brushes on your boots when cleaning them. I am using it in a garage with a concrete floor, and I don't want it permanently installed there. I will try mounting it on a board that sticks out on both sides where I can place one foot for support while cleaning the other one.

Good boot scraper
A bit tight for 12W boots, but the side bristles get into the sole lugs just fine if you go at an angle, and this model has flats and corners on the metal sides to scrape soles (not round like some). Plastic blocks, weatherproof. Seems very sturdy. Mounted it on a piece of plywood to stand back and get good leverage. Aim it into the bushes, not at your house, for the spatter.

Total junk
I'm not one of those sourpuss raters but this was a huge disappointment. The frame of the thing was way out of square. On the inside of the metal frame there are painted welds. 3 of them. One was an obvious repair, unpainted. It barely fit in it's box it was so out of whack. The plastic brush bases had a mis-driven screw sticking out and wouldn't go back in. Also a ripped screw parts bag with one screw missing. Now we get to the part of it's functionality.I have a men's size 7 hiking boot and i would have to forcefully jamb my foot in to fit. A dress loafer would probably fit well. Don't waste your time. I returned mine.

Good Product - My 2 Cents on the Narrowness....
I noticed other reviews that said that this scraper is a bit narrow. I wear 4D shoes, most often hiking boots, which can be clunky. I found that this product works for my wide shoe. Yes, it is a tight fit. I start my "swing" toward the brushes and drive my shoe through. I use a bit of "oomph". I think that the tightness helps clean the sides, a bit of the front, and a bit of the back all at the same time. I then try to turn my foot, this way and that, to get the front and back a better. Got the guests trained to use it too. Right now, I am in a sandy environment and much of the damp/dry sand stays outside of the house where it belongs, saving my wife from vacuuming the tile as often. It is screwed down onto a section of 2X6.

Good way to clean nasty work boots
I bought this boot brush for one reason qhich was to clean my nasty work boot because im a truck driver and i haul alot of non hazardous waste to landfills (still very digusting stuff i haul plus the garbage juice from the landfill gets on my boots its no bueno trying to get it off my boots) i was very impressed with the construction of my boot brush which is currently fastened to a piece of plywood, it does an amazing job getting the nasty stuff off my work boots from the landfill so i dont drag it inside the house and have my wife yell. I plan on buying another brush to mount on the step to get inside of my semi at work so i dont track stuff in there as well. Very very impressed with the quality of the brush bristles and the constuction of the brush its self. I would highly recommend getting this

OKAY-ish
Was going to buy 2 of these, one for the front door one for the back. Glad I only purchased one as there is no way my partner could get his size 12 boot in! It's a tight squeeze even with my size 5s! As others have said, it does need to be screwed into a piece of wood with enough standing space either side to keep it in place. Instead of buying a second one I bought one of the coir and metal boot cleaner mats for the back door and I must say the coir one is much easier to use and more efficient at cleaning the mud off. The brush scraper also leaves a huge spattering of mud all over the front door! I think I may buy a second coir one for the front door and donate this one to the charity shop (after I've given it a clean!)

It works
Nothing wrong with it. a bit snug for my size 11 working boots, but I blame me for big broad feet and the stiffness of the bristles. That last has to be a plus. Dull, there are better looking ones, but they'll cost you more. It has to be screwed down or its useless. When you think about placement, bear in mind you will spray mud in front and behind. I fixed mine to a board with room either side to stand on with one foot while cleaning the other. That way it can be moved around or upended for de-clogging, too. Better if you have something to hang on to but not essential. It's good and fit for purpose, but not amazing, hence 4 stars. I haven't taken any off because of issues.

Quick and easy after a hard day on the plot.
Liked the strong shape and ease of use ie put your foot behind the hook and slot the opposite boot in and gently lift - handy to balance on something as you do this . Foot comes out boot easily, no bending and pulling ie no wrenched back! No dislikes - does the job.

Happy with purchase
Thought it was a bit tight for my size 9 boots but cleans them well.

secure it near something you can hold on to while you scrape your boots
Really good and good value for money, we have it next to a wall so that you can brace yourself while scraping your boots
