Good replacement and even works with my fire stick

I was left in quite the conundrum, as my loving and sweet children decided that the stock remote to my t.v. would live a better life in the void that socks, batteries, toy cars, and other miscellaneous items lived out the remaining days until the apocalypse. I had recently switched to the vaunted iPhone due to incompatibilities between my work life and personal life, and Apple decided that having IR in their wares was not something that discerning customers needed. Rather than having to exert the necessary energy to walk to the television and make whatever changes were necessary to appease my slovenly needs, I decided to forego the corn dog at the county fair in order to secure the necessary funds to purchase this little savior. Although I did have to expend several calories opening the packaging of the celebrated brown amazon box, I have now been able to return to my previous life hoarding enormous amounts of potential energy just in case I have a future need to spontaneously combust. By the way, the remote works great.

This remote looks just like the original remote that came with the TV, there was no set up required. All I did was install the batteries and it worked

Just what was needed to access controls on an Insignia TV- Unfortunately many tv manufacturers are shipping new products with small, modified remotes. These are not at all intuitive. I was needing to access the tv settings, not the streaming settings… Of note, this remote also seems to be able to control some of the back and forth, up and down while streaming although it is really just for television control. The volume, mute, aspect buttons all work well along with shortcuts such as audio and info. Overall a good purchase even though this type of remote should be included with any new tv - My mother, for example, would be unable to adjust any television settings with a streamer remote which uses symbols and button combinations to access basic settings. Folks like her should be able to make color adjustments and the like which streamer remotes may not offer. Some people on the planet do not use Internet for television content and those people need some way to control their Insignia TV settings… Good TV brand, but regular remotes - such as this one- should be included with any new television purchase.

It works OK but there are a few things that are quite a nuisance. The first problem is that you have to be very deliberate about pointing the remote at the television set. The second problem which is significant is when you change channels you have to press enter or it will not change to a different channel.

The remote for my 10 ur old “ dumb” tv wasn’t working. The sleep button no longer worked as well as few other buttons. Ordered this from Amazon after looking at other remotes on line. This was much cheaper than others. Works perfectly. Popped batteries in and good to go. Didn’t even have to reprogram or sync anything.

I really hadn't had the original tv and remote for too long. The tv still works, but the remote quickly got more and more dysfunctional. I was surprised to compare my new remote to the one that I had gotten with the tv. The new remote works very well and looks "shiny and new". It make me think that maybe someone had bought the tv once, then returned it, just to trade their own remote for a better one. Who knows? My new remote works very well.

This remote worked on my tv instantly. Im so glad I ordered it. My son lost the remote to his tv almost 4 years ago and I had just been making him use the buttons on the TV but now the buttons had become warn out and didnt always work so I knew it was time to order one, I thought id have to look hard for one since the tv was so old but this looks exactly like the remote that came with the tv 7 years ago! Very pleased with my purchase!
