Sturdy tabs for all your garden label needs
These sticks are study and perfect for marking seedlings. They took permanent marker well and didn't fade or crack, even when left in the elements outside. They were also a great value for the money - I got enough to last me several seasons of growing and marking plants.

Durable. Black tags blend much better than white ones.
This is a simple item that I find very useful. Like many gardeners I have the tendency to, ahem, overestimate available space. I'm not getting any younger and it helps to mark what I've already planted so I don't forget and try to use that space for something else. This autumn I used these tags to mark each and every bulb I added (or transplanted). In the spring I'll use the remainder to mark where I've planted specific varieties of seed.In a previous year I used a small number of white tags and they looked absolutely awful. These black tags blend well while also being quite functional. I used a white wax pencil and it's holding up very well throughout sun, rain and a bit of snow.

The right length for seed starting, robust
These are just the right length for home seed starting as you can put in the label in the cell and still cover with a humidity dome. One side is textured so you can write with a pencil rather than a marker. Pencil always lasts longer for me. I have penciled labels that have lasted for years. So, for example, your Fall planted garlic will still be readably labeled in the Spring. (Just talking about the lasting power of a regular old Dixon Ticonderoga #2, here, nothing special) There is a smooth side as well if you prefer using a garden pen. A regular "Sharpie" brand pen will fade by the end of the season as they always do.I like the shorter 4.7" but I'm sure the taller 6" will work just as well. Plastic is nice and thick, so it won't weather and shatter after a season. If you do use marker, know you can always wipe off any remaining labeling with a cotton ball and some rubbing alcohol and presto! Ready to be reused. Wash off the rubbing alcohol of course. You can just erase any labeling with a pencil. This means that a package of 100 can last you quite a few seasons, and I have a fairly large garden. So much better than resorting to plastic knives. And yes, I am that cheap!

Durable plastic stakes
Useful - use a marker though, as when Im watering plants, the notes otherwise get washed away with time. My orchids are noted for repotting, and blooming - I don't have but 40 or so, but it is good to keep track. I only wish they had a little hole in them so that I could attach them more securely.

Study, thick tags
These are thick plant tags... a bit narrow compared to others, but plenty of room to write on. There is a slick side and a textured side. The slick side is good for temporary writing with a Sharpie... can erase with an alcohol prep. The textured side is great for permanent outdoor labels to adhere to, which I use on my trees. This might be helpful info to some.
